Rates / Pricing
To calculate the shipping cost, we look at four things: where the parcel is picked up, where it is going, how large it is, and how much it weighs.
The pickup or delivery address may be considered a remote area by some carriers, which may result in an additional surcharge.
Size also matters. Courier companies may take the volumetric weight into account. This is a calculated weight based on the amount of space the parcel occupies:
Volumetric weight (kg) = length (cm) × width (cm) × height (cm) ÷ 5000
This means that a large but lightweight parcel may not be priced based on its actual weight. The higher of the actual weight and the volumetric weight is used to determine the chargeable weight and therefore the shipping cost.
Futárlista takes all of these factors into account automatically when you request a quote, so you don't have to work it out yourself.
